USA and Canada
The full step-by-step procedure is here: Import procedure for cars from the USA and Canada
Usually 3 to 8 weeks from winning the auction to delivery to your address. It mostly depends on how far the car is from the port and when the container sails.
Copart, IAAI, Adesa and Manheim. We bid on your behalf, only up to the amount you set.
No, taking part in the bidding costs nothing. You only need to sign the agreement and pay the deposit. If we don't win the car, the deposit is refundable - unless you want to bid on another car.
We return the deposit, or it goes towards bidding on another car.
In Rotterdam. You pay 10% customs duty and 21% Dutch VAT there, and excise duty later in Poland.
No. We bid on your behalf, so you don’t need to register with Copart, IAAI, Adesa or Manheim.
Yes. You can pick a car in our US car auctions catalog and give us the LOT or VIN number, and we’ll check its history and prepare a quote.
Yes. We check the Carfax or AutoCheck report: accidents, damage, service, mileage and number of owners, as well as the auction photos and damage description. On request, we order an on-site inspection by an independent appraiser.
After winning, you have 2 business days to pay - by bank transfer directly to an account in the USA. If you send us the transfer confirmation the same or next day, we pay for the car right away and you almost always avoid storage and late payment fees.
Condition of cars from the USA and Canada
No. Auctions have damaged cars, but also undamaged ones, ex-lease cars, cars sold by dealers or repossessed by banks for unpaid loans. Every listing has photos and a description of the car’s condition.
Mainly from insurance companies, as well as dealers, leasing companies and private individuals.
It means that on the day it arrived at the auction yard, the car started and moved under its own power. It’s not a guarantee of full mechanical condition, which is why it’s important to carefully check the available auction information and the Carfax or AutoCheck report.
No. Auction cars are sold “as is” - which is why we check the history, photos and damage description so thoroughly before bidding.
Yes. Canada uses the metric system, so the odometer usually shows kilometres.
Not all of them. Condition depends on the region and how the car was used, which is why we check photos and history before buying.
Yes. We work with body and paint shops and, at your request, can take care of a complete repair of the car, including any adaptation to homologation requirements.
Korea
The full step-by-step procedure is here: Import procedure for cars from Korea
Usually 8 to 12 weeks, from choosing the car to delivery to your address. The voyage from Korea to Europe alone takes 4-6 weeks.
Mainly from Encar - 80% of the cars we import from Korea come from there - as well as from KB Cha-Cha-Cha and local dealers.
A quote for sample models is free. A specific search requires an agreement and an advance payment of PLN 599 gross, which we refund if we complete the purchase.
No. The 0% duty applies to cars made in Korea, based on a proof of origin. Cars made outside Korea have 10% duty.
You choose: in Gdynia (23% VAT) or in Rotterdam (21% VAT).
Payments and documents
PLN 3,600 gross for imports from the USA and Canada, PLN 5,000 gross for imports from Korea. You pay it as a deposit, which becomes our commission once the car is purchased.
Before bidding or before the purchase, you get a quote for the total delivered price. Some amounts depend on the price we buy the car for, so they’re estimates before the purchase.
On request, we can insure vehicles from the USA and Canada as well as those from Korea - from pickup at the auction until delivery to Europe.
Everything you need for registration in Poland. From the USA and Canada: the certificate of title (Title), the bill of sale (Bill of Sale) and the clearance documents. From Korea: Export Certificate, Deregistration Certificate and the clearance documents. On request, we’ll prepare sworn translations.
Yes, we help prepare the excise duty application. You pay excise duty in Poland, and its rate depends on engine capacity and drivetrain.
