Why import a car from the USA and Canada
The USA is the largest car market in the world, and Canada adds thousands more cars to it. Nearly new, ex-lease and damaged cars appear at auctions every day - the choice is incomparably wider than in Europe.
For many of our customers, importing means a car one class higher for the same budget.
Lower prices
For similar money you get a newer or more upmarket car than in Poland.
Richer equipment
Cars from the American market often come standard with what you pay extra for in Europe.
Huge choice
Thousands of new cars appear at Copart and IAAI auctions every day.
Models not sold in Europe
Pickups, muscle cars and engine versions you can't buy on the European market.
Full vehicle history
A Carfax or AutoCheck report shows accidents, servicing, mileage and the number of previous owners in detail.
Accident-free or to repair
You choose a car ready to drive or a damaged one that works out cheaper after repair.

Cars we don't import
Not every cheap auction car is a bargain. We don't import:
Cars with a title that can't be registered in Poland
E.g. a JUNK title. They can't be registered in the EU without costly procedures.
Older vehicles without the required certificates
Cars that can't obtain a technical approval certificate.
Vehicles with a LIEN title (bank lien)
They may be subject to financial claims.
Vehicles over 25 years old without EU approval
Unless you knowingly want a classic and know the legalisation procedure.
Special-purpose vehicles
They are subject to US export restrictions.
Vehicles without a full VIN
Or with defaced identifiers.
Cars involved in legal proceedings
Or with a problematic title - such cars can't be registered or exported.
Cars with radars and military systems
Vehicles with limited options for legal import.
Vehicles with irreparable defects
Burnt, flooded, beyond rebuilding.
Cars covered by bans and restrictions
Listings that don't meet export and registration requirements.
Cars with a “Parts Only” or “Non-Repairable” title
Unless you specifically ask for one.
Flooded cars
A “Flood” title or signs of water inside - unless you specifically ask for one.

Importing a car from the USA and Canada - what to know
Importing a car from the USA or Canada is today one of the simplest ways to buy, for reasonable money, a car that is better equipped, newer or simply one you can't get in Europe. We handle the whole import: from choosing the car, through bidding and shipping, to customs clearance and delivery to your address in Poland.
Where cars from the USA and Canada come from
We buy most cars at Copart and IAAI auctions, as well as Adesa and Manheim. They list ex-lease and fleet cars, cars bought back by insurers after damage and cars traded in by dealers. That makes the choice huge: from nearly new cars with low mileage to damaged ones that, after repair, cost clearly less than their equivalents in Poland.
Cars from Canada have their mileage in kilometres and are often prepared for winter. Cars from the USA tempt with equipment that is a paid extra in Europe, and with models we don't have here - pickups, muscle cars and more powerful engine versions.
How we check a car before buying
Before we start bidding, we check the car's history in a Carfax or AutoCheck report: accidents, damage, servicing, mileage and the number of owners. We look at the auction photos and damage description, and on request we order an on-site inspection by an independent assessor. If the car isn't worth buying, we say so straight - even if it means we won't earn on the order.
How long the import takes and where customs clearance happens
The whole import, from a won auction to delivery to your address, usually takes 3 to 8 weeks. We collect the car from the auction yard, take it to the port and ship it by container to Rotterdam. There a customs agency clears it: you pay 10% duty and Dutch VAT of 21%. You pay excise duty in Poland, and its rate depends on engine size and type of drive. We help prepare the excise application.
You follow every stage in the client panel: from pickup at the yard, through container loading, to delivery.
How much it costs to import a car from the USA
The final cost is made up of: the car price, auction fees, transport in the USA or Canada, sea freight, duty, VAT, the customs agency, excise duty, transport in Poland and our commission. The commission is fixed at PLN 3,600 gross. You pay it as a deposit before the auction, and if we lose the auction, the deposit is returned to you or kept for the next auction. You know the full delivered cost before the auction - free of charge.
